Webinar geared toward tribal court, justice system scheduled for Sept. 25

An upcoming webinar, “Building and Sustaining Tribal Appellate Courts,” is set for 1 p.m. (EST) Sept. 25 through the Tribal Law and Policy Institute alongside the Tribal Judicial Institute and National American Indian Court Judges Association.

The webinar is aimed to better the understanding of tribal court and justice system planners surrounding: the role of tribal courts of appeal in protecting and preserving sovereignty, the importance of tribal courts of appeal in the adjudicatory process, and operating and sustaining Tribal appellate courts.

It will be presented by Erin Shanley and Keith Richotte, and it’s open to “FY 2023 Coordinated Tribal Assistance Purpose Area #3 Grantees and anyone interested in learning more about tribal appellate courts,” according to the Tribal Law and Policy Institute.
