South Florida Fair runs May 7-23 in West Palm Beach

WEST PALM BEACH – The South Florida Fair returns May 7-23 at the South Florida Fairgrounds in West Palm Beach. .  The fair announced May 7 that it is no longer requiring mandatory facial coverings for entry, but is recommending that one be worn.

In addition to the traditional rides, food and agricultural venues, this year’s fair will feature “An Earthly A-Fair” theme as a tribute to the 50th anniversary of Earth Day.

“Every year we look to implement new changes to ‘green’ our fair and facility,” South Florida Fair President & CEO Vicki Chouris said in a statement.

The fair’s menu will include activities, entertainment, interactive and educational exhibits about climate change, green initiatives, endangered species, protection of the environment, clean air, water conservation, the importance of agriculture and more.

National Geographic will present an exhibit titled “Air, Land and & Sea.”  The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration will also have an exhibit.

Admission is free for children 10 and younger, in advance and at the gate. Advance admission tickets are $10 for 11 years and older and may be used any day; at the gate admission will be $10 Monday-Friday, and $20 on Saturdays and Sundays. PowerPass, which includes admission and unlimited rides on any one weekday, is $25 and available in advance only. A “skip the lines” package, known as Gold Access Pass, is also available.


Senior Day is May 14 when senior admission cost will be $5. There will be free admission for seniors 60 and older from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
