Hard Rock to host livestream PPV concert on Super Bowl eve

A live pay-per-view concert will be held during Super Bowl weekend.

The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa, along with LiveXLive Media, will host a livestream pay-per-view (PPV) musical event Feb. 6, the night before the Super Bowl. The broadcast will air on the LiveXLive platform at 7 p.m.

Kansas City and Tampa Bay will battle at Raymond James Stadium on Feb. 7 in Super Bowl LV.

The pay-per-view event will include solo and collaborative performances by the Country Music Association’s 2020 Artist of the Year nominee Jimmie Allen as well as Matt Snell, Chris Bandi and Matt Thomas from the band Parmalee. The concert will kick off with LiveZone, LiveXLive’s weekly news program with Adam Carolla as special guest host.

In addition to the music, LiveXLive will stream a special short documentary on music and its impact on the Super Bowl’s halftime shows throughout the years.

“Our mission at Hard Rock is to create authentic experiences that rock,” Keith Sheldon, president of entertainment for Seminole Hard Rock and Hard Rock International, said in a statement. “We are thrilled to partner with LiveXLive on this virtual event, which will offer fans from around the globe the opportunity to safely enjoy an incredible music experience featuring four extraordinary entertainers.

LiveXLive is a global platform for livestream and on-demand audio, video and podcasts in music, comedy and pop culture. The LiveXLive livestream initiative was created as a revenue generating opportunity for artists during a time when concerts and tours have been halted by the pandemic. The platform allows artists to perform directly for the consumer in full-length concerts and shows with unique behind the scenes footage and documentary-style coverage.

“America’s passion for football culminates annually with the Big Game and we could not be more excited to be a part of this celebration with our Seminole Hard Rock partner. Great artists, great location and great music continues our legacies in connecting people to live musical performances,” said Dermot McCormack, president of LiveXLive.
