The Seminole Tribe of Florida’s Hadyn Billie threw a complete game two-hitter with seven strikeouts to lead the Evangelical Christian School softball team to an 11-0 win against Shoreline Prep in a Class 1A regional final May 15 in Fort Myers.

The tribe’s Payton Billie (2-for-3 with two RBIs), Angelina Yzaguirre (one double, one RBI) and Paizley Billie (one single, one RBI) contributed to the offense, which pounded out 12 hits in the five-inning game. Also, Samantha Yzaguirre had two hits and two RBIs.

The victory earned ECS a trip to the Orlando area for the state final four at Boombah-Soldiers Creek Park in Longwood. ECS will face North Florida Christian-Tallahassee in a semifinal May 20 at 2 p.m. Geneva will face Miami Christian in the other semifinal at 4 p.m. The 1A championship game is slated for May 21 at 4:30 p.m.

ECS won the 2A state title last year and is now two wins away from claiming the 1A title.
