(NPS) OCHOPEE – Big Cypress National Preserve has issued a temporary trail closure in the Raccoon Point C and D areas, which includes an area that borders the Miccosukee Tribe’s reservation. The closure will start Dec. 14 due to a prescribed fire. All recreational and commercial activities as well as off-road vehicles will be prohibited in the designated areas during the closure. Private lands will remain open. The length of the closure was not announced.
