Middle school basketball bragging rights will be up for grabs Jan. 14 on the Brighton Reservation.  

Pemayetv Emahakv Charter School will host the Around the Lake Tournament for girls and boys teams.

The girls tournament will be held at the Brighton Recreation gym. PECS, LaBelle and Sebastian Charter will compete for the title in a double-elimination format.

Five schools are in the boys tournament, which will be held at the PECS gym. The single-elimination format will feature PECS, LaBelle, Osceola, Sebastian Charter and Yearling.

Girls tournament at Brighton Recreation gym (double-elimination)

Game 1: LaBelle vs PECS 9 a.m.

Game 2: Sebastian vs Game 1 winner 10:30 a.m.

Game 3: Game 1 loser vs Game 2 loser 12 p.m.

Game 4: Game 2 winner vs Game 3 winner 1:30 p.m.

Boys tournament at PECS gym (single-elimination)

Game 1: Osceola vs PECS 9 a.m.

Game 2: Yearling vs Sebastian 10 a.m.
