Exhibit honors artwork of Jimmy Osceola

The Seminole Tribe of Florida’s Ah-Tah-Thi-Ki Museum will host a reception Jan. 26 at 10:30 a.m. for the opening of an exhibit featuring the artwork of Seminole artist Jimmy Osceola. “Seminole Pride: Celebrating the Artwork of Jimmy Osceola” spans more than two temporary gallery spaces.

Osceola passed away in 2021. More than 20 pieces of his artwork are on display. According to the museum, Osceola hoped his art would help younger generations see how their people developed to what it is today and to remember Seminole cultural history.

The reception is open to the public and included with museum admission. The museum is located on the Big Cypress Reservation.
