‘Native American Experience’ to be held on Dauphin Island

The Dauphin Island Heritage and Arts Council will host the “2025 Dauphin Island Native American Experience” on March 22 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at historic Fort Gaines on Dauphin Island, Alabama.

According to the council’s website, the day will explore Native American culture and history with tribal members from the Seminole Tribe and Poarch Band of Creek Indians.

The event will feature demonstrations with stickball, pottery making, Native American dancing, canoe carving, bead work and cultural displays.

The event is sponsored in part by the Town of Dauphin Island, Mobile Bay National Estuary Program, and Mobile County Commission.
