Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Bristol was the presenting sponsor of the ninth annual Tri-Cities 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb on Sept. 9 at Bristol Motor Speedway in Tennessee.

The climb is part of the National Fallen Firefighters 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb that serves as a tribute to the 343 firefighters who died in the 9/11 attacks.

Firefighters and other community members and organizations climbed the equivalent of the 110 stories of the World Trade Center.

The fundraising aspect of the climbs is geared toward helping support the families of local fallen firefighters and the FDNY counseling services unit.

According to the Bristol event’s fundraising page, nearly $60,000 was raised in the local climb as of Sept. 11 with Hard Rock Bristol listed as the top donor and the Johnson City Firefighters Local 1791 first among fundraising teams.

The Seminole Tribe of Florida is the parent entity of Hard Rock International.
