Glades County sees three new COVID-19 cases in one day

Glades County has among the fewest confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Florida,  however its numbers have spiked in recent days.

According to state health department data, Glades has 13 confirmed cases, which is the seventh fewest of the state’s 67 counties, but six of those cases have come in the past seven days, including three on May 18.

Glades County Public Safety reported it was notified that the three most recent cases are a 69-year-old female from Buckhead Ridge, a 38-year-old male from Crescent Acres and a 44-year-old male, also from Crescent Acres.

Hendry County has 224 confirmed cases. The county averaged 10 confirmed cases per day from May 12-18, including 23 on May 15.
