‘Yacht Rock the Dock’ with Headliner Ambrosia Coming to Seminole Casino Hotel

Seminole Casino Hotel Immokalee hosts “Yacht Rock the Dock,” featuring the original artists in concert playing iconic hits from one of Rock’s greatest eras, on Saturday, Feb. 1 at 8 p.m. with doors opening at 7 p.m. Ambrosia, John Ford Coley, Peter Beckett (The Voice of Player), Elliot Lurie of Looking Glass, and Walter Egan will come together for a magical night performing their 1970s and 1980s Billboard Top 40 Hits. The “Yacht Rock” songs that are the soundtrack to a generation and classic rock radio staples across the country emerged primarily from southern California during one of the greatest periods of music. As younger generations of music fans fall in love and embrace these classic rock/soft rock hits, these songs are becoming bigger now than at any time since their heyday, which stretched between 1976 and 1983.

Lewis, the Vermont-born powerhouse first found success with Staind, the 2000s-era hard rockers who injected meditative muscle into an era better known for mindless aggression. But while that band is still very much alive, it was never enough to satisfy Lewis’ creative drive. Embracing his roots to earn a rare second round of success, a series of solo Country projects have led to two No. 1 Billboard Country Album debuts – Town Line (2011) and Sinner (2016) – plus a Platinum collab with heroes George Jones and Charlie Daniels (“Country Boy”), and a Gold-certified Billboard No. 1 with “Am I The Only One” in 2021. Lewis’ 2022 solo album followed suit, with “Frayed at Both Ends” emerging as the best-selling Country album in America.
